Two-day Online Training for Thermo-Calc, DICTRA and TC-PRISMA

A two-day training course for Thermo-Calc software, the Diffusion Module (DICTRA) and the Precipitation Module (TC-PRISMA) will be held on 4-5th July 2020 in China. The course will be given through the online classroom (e.g. ClassIn software), and each participant will work the exercises at their own computer following the lead of teacher. The course is taught in Chinese by CISRI (China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group) in Beijing, who are the local representative of Thermo-Calc in China.

What You Will Learn

This two-day training course will introduce and teach Thermo-Calc software (both Graphical Mode and Console Mode), the Diffusion Module (DICTRA) and the Precipitation Module (TC-PRISMA). There will be a section about thermodynamic knowledge and basic theory, such as CALPHAD methodology, diffusion theory and precipitation kinetics. 

During the course, the participants will learn how to calculate and plot phase equilibria, property diagrams and phase diagrams of multicomponent alloys using Thermo-Calc, how to solve the problems involving diffusional transformation using the Diffusion Module (DICTRA), and how to simulate kinetics of diffusion controlled multi-particle precipitation process in systems using the Precipitation Module (TC-PRISMA).
