TC-PRISMA TC-PRISMA is a computational tool for simulating multi-particle precipitation kinetics of diffusion-controlled processes in multicomponent and multi-phase alloy systems. TC-PRISMA can be used for calculations of:
- Concurrent nucleation, growth/dissolution and coarsening of precipitates
- Temporal evolution of particle size distribution
- Average particle radius and number density
- Volume fraction and composition of precipitate
- Nucleation rate and coarsening rate
- Time-Temperature-Precipitation (TTP) diagrams
This is the first version of the software and it is available for Microsoft Windows only. Please see the System Requirements for details. Right now, we are working on implementing additional features to treat more versatile heat treatment conditions, consider more influencing factors for nucleation, growth/dissolution, coarsening and making the GUI even more user-friendly. TC-PRISMA is available as an add-on to a Thermo-Calc license and the simulations with TC-PRISMA require usually both
- Thermodynamic databases (used with Thermo-Calc)
- Mobility databases (used with DICTRA)
Such data are supplied in a wide selection of databases for various purposes and for many different materials and applications. The databases are produced by experts by evaluation of experimental data and consideration of ab-initio calculation results. Thermo-Calc Software offer training courses, where you can learn to use the TC-PRISMA software. The TC-PRISMA training course is held in connection with the Thermo-Calc training courses, for optimal planning. When purchasing TC-PRISMA, a free 12-month period of maintenanence & support subscription is included. After the free period, it is recommended that you continue the subscription as this will give you access to automatic updates of the software and technical support. For further information of TC-PRISMA, please see the information links up to the right corner or contact info@thermocalc.com. |
