TC Application Programming Interface (TC-API)

The TC-API is written in both FORTRAN and C for programming under PC-Linux and PC-Windows (98/NT/ME/2000/XP) environments. Thermo-Calc Windows (TCW) and the TC MATLAB® Toolbox is based on this programming interface.

Since the TC-API is written in C, linking and communication with programming languages other than FORTRAN is more convenient compared to the TQ-I. Also, the TC-API includes more of the functionality found in Thermo-Calc. It offers access to most of the commands in the TDB, POLY-3 and POLY-3 Postprocessor modules and some important commands in the GES5 module. The TC-API is most suitable for developing windows applications involving advanced thermodynamic and/or kinetic calculations.

A more detailed description of the TC-API with examples of programming code can be found on the Manuals & Examples page in the Download section.
