The mission of Thermo-Calc Software is to develop and supply superior software, databases and services for technical calculations involving thermodynamics or diffusion.
Thermo-Calc Software continuously develops our software and databases in order to create new and better tools for such calculations. The company Thermo-Calc Software AB was founded in 1997 as an offspring from the department of Materials Science and Engineering at KTH, Stockholm, Sweden. The aims was to further market and develop the software tools for Computational Thermodynamics and for Diffusion Controlled Simulations, which had been developed at the department for more than 15 years.
Thermo-Calc Software is now a solid and stable company that provides users around the world with the latest tools within the area of computational thermodynamics.
Milestones1969: Formation of CALPHAD. 1971: Sublattice model for 2 components.
